When Rep. Alex Kolodin and I put our bill before the House Natural Resources, Energy, and Water Committee, we were disappointed that not a single Democrat crossed the aisle to support it. What sort of person puts partisanship over bringing water to families in Arizona without it?

Whether you saw the news or not, our bill still made it out of committee. And we are working together with co-sponsors Rep. Gail Griffin and Sen. John Kavanagh to get this bill through the House, Senate, and the Governor’s desk. However, because the bill doesn’t include a mention of indigenous people and the issues they’ve been facing, Democratic State Rep. De Los Santos voted ‘no.’ This is the radical left’s reason for being willing to let Arizonans go through a hot summer without water! These families need the water today. Each day that passes makes this situation even more critical. We believe there isn’t a moment to spare.

We know many of you are worried about our neighbors in Rio Verde and want to help. As far as we can see the House Democrats have made their position clear, they’re willing to threaten these families to play politics. If you would like to contribute, reach out to your Representative before this goes to vote and tell them to vote yes on HB2561 to get our neighbors in Rio Verde the relief they need.
